WHERE IT ALL BEGAN: 

Feeding our restaurant & hospitality family.

The original Staff Meal program ran from April 11 through June 13, 2020.  In that 10 weeks, Staff Meal chefs prepared 2400 meals per week, with a 4-serving breakfast and a 4-serving dinner included in each of our meal packs. These 300 packs were distributed each Saturday. The first 3 weeks, our team worked out of the space generously provided by 3015 at Trinity Groves. For the final 7 weeks our team partnered with the amazing team at the Irving Convention Center. 

During its run, Staff Meal provided 25,000 meals to restaurant and hospitality workers in need. (the final week we also provided lunch).  Because of the giant generosity of industry partners and kind humans from all over North Texas, all of this was accomplished with just $21,000 in cash donations.  

That outpouring of support has made us true believers in the massive impact a small idea can have when we all work together. We are thankful from the the bottom of our hearts to every business, donor, volunteer and cheerleader that helped to see this through. 

Staff Meal Dallas is a collaborative effort organized by the FestEvents Foundation (a registered 501(c)3), with the goal of providing chef-crafted meals to restaurant and hospitality workers in-need during this critical time.
